Welcome to TACSM!
It is my privilege to serve as president of this fine organization. It is my hope to continue the tradition of excellence this group has achieved over the last several years, with an emphasis on promoting the growing field of sports medicine and supporting the students who are the future. TACSM provide significantly more in student scholarship funds than any other chapter in the nation, a fact of which we are very proud. We sponsor a fall and spring lecture series by distinguished scientists/educators, coming to a campus near you this year! Another exceptional event will be the TACSM 2009 Spring Meeting with cutting edge scientific and clinical sessions, research presentations, scholarship awards and the beauty of East Texas in the spring. If you are not already a TACSM member, be sure to join this year and help us support and promote the rapidly evolving field of exercise science and sports medicine, and come be reinvigorated and recharged by our stimulating programs. Make this year the year you rededicate yourself to your field, your profession, your vocation; you won’t be disappointed.
